The Big Cat Sanctuary Open Weekend

Straight from Cambridge the One Drum team were on the road again down to Kent to partake in the Big Cat Sanctuary Open Day Weekend.

The One-Drum team was there to entertain the visitors, staff and cats alike, bringing mountains of Ghanaian energy, drumming, dancing and acrobatics to the event.  What a show it was!!

The Sanctuary isn't normally open to the public, however, for one weekend a year in July, they open their doors to the public to show everyone what they're doing in the areas of welfare, conservation, education and breeding of big and small cats, with the aim of reintroducing them into the wild.

They are currently raising money for 'Project Lion' - a campaign to raise funds for a variety of lion welfare and conservation activities. At the open day they managed to raise over £3,000 for this very worthy cause. Great work guys!! If you would like to find out more about the vital work they do,  please visit
