Abass Dodoo and ginger baker join forces to promote the one-drum foundation
The One-Drum Foundation is set up to help give vulnerable young people at risk of involvement in gangs and knife crime an opportunity to focus their energy and develop their talent in music through drumming.
Ancient African drumming rhythms were traditionally used to heal a broken community and bring families together through a shared passion that involved many generations of families coming together in harmony to make music, song and dance, telling their personal stories and passing wisdom down the next generation.
The One-Drum Foundation, through the education and provision of free drumming workshops offers communities a chance to come together in harmony to make music, to sing and to dance; a brief respite from the chaos that may exist around them.
The One-Drum Foundation (1185202) is a UK registered charity with a registered office at 224 Haggerston Road, London, E8 4HT.
